Re: What we think of the Patch

Ville maybe youre just Vile, but I dont get it.

Re: What we think of the Patch

I guess it's time to get the crayons out.

When you lower specific robot bonuses to normalize everyone on the same playing field, the optimization shifts to: maximum amount of head or leg slots.

The Ictus for example, has 3 neut slots, since the bonus was taken down from 8%(80) to 3%(30).  Meanwhile on a Seth you get 4 neut slots and more addition leg slots and head slots.

A) your more cap stable in a Seth due to leg slot
B) range is longer
C) you have an additional neut
D) the Ictus got directly screwed by all the trees now, thanks to LOS.

So all these 1.4 million EP Ictus mk2 are being out played by a 750k Seth pilot.  And for end game players it's a stab in the back by the developers.

Re: What we think of the Patch

@Ville: I think they left out boosting tuners and adding a stacking penalty as it should always have been. That way the optimization does not shift to # of head or leg slots.

Heavy mech has more accumulator than a mech.

That's a complete lie.

Ictus has bonus for neuting.

It's not just plants put landscape and structures. In any case, DPS has same LOS issues.

Stop trying to shift the meta to Ictus Online. Ictus has countless benefits over Seth. Use the tool that gets the job done.

Re: What we think of the Patch

My problem with stacking tunings is the fights turn into close range battle royales.  This is not were perpetuum shines.  Perpetuum pvp shines at those 700M+ Battles were it's not about the numbers it's about Terrain and FCs and ewars ability to mitigate the incoming damage.

That's the fights that are epic!  But two things totally ruined that.
Trees Online
Follow bot nerf
Stacking penaltys would only further put a nail in the coffin.

Ville doesn't get the difference, because he doesn't need to care about assets that he has been building for years now.
He is the typical "endgame" player that complains about no "engame content" in a game that was about the progress that he skipped with exploiting holes in game logic while they existed.

On stacking penalties I disagree, longer range fight would be more common due the empty slots left out for ranged fits. There would be more fitting possibilities too, 1 or 2 tuners would be enough buff the 3 tuner would be really dumb to fit.

Re: What we think of the Patch

@Burial prove me wrong.  Or are you just that bitter?

@celebro I assume that stacking penalty will be applied to range extenders too?  W/o a follow bot there's hardly any Cush in regards to locking range.  Explosion damage can be felt upto 200M away in some cases.

Anni- The devs were complacent and never patched the holes in time, even though most players and Devs knew about: Turtle islands, Beacon farming on gamma ..etc...

I would assume they could start with tunings first (yellow mods) only. Or give range extenders an extra boost more than tunnings same with SA and rechargers. Anyhow the need for support bot would be less important too once you have a capable fit long range.

I assume you are talking about the range.

Ictus MK2 max range: 938m
Seth MK2 max range: 827m

Single amp, dual amp or RSAs?

What's the range.

Also have you looked at the differences between 4 neuts against 3 neuts, given the extra head and leg slots?

+1 ... The 9 month gap between announced assignment changes and sparks allowed for massive token farming
The 3 month gap for Epri move to Beta only allowed for myself to personally mine 500 mil Epri on gamma.

To be fair, at the time others "weren't playing" allowing us our Beta station control and unmolested turtle islands. But the point is the gap between announcement and implementation is far too long generally and allows for exploitation for those in position. A 2 week window on changes would be better AFTER whatever change has been fully tested.

Ictus MK2 max range: 938m
Seth MK2 max range: 827m

Ictus MK2 Max Range (requires RSA) because the lock range is 450 M.  I like how he unbiasedly compared things here, lol

http://i.imgur.com/wwqctxd.jpg

The Seth Base neuting power is 319 per Neut Versus an Ictus which is 407

Seth is 319 X 4 = 1276

Ictus is 407 X 3 = 1221

Seth neuts for more in critical mass.

So the next time you want to come in and call someone a liar have your facts straight before you spit propaganda.

A) is True
B) I factor in locking range too, unlike Burial  Because whats good 900 M optimal if you lock at 450? LOL
C) The Seth still neuts for more

Theres no shifting you know it got nerfed big time but you hate Ewar.  So anything anti ewar you defend to the last drop.

Re: What we think of the Patch

You want Ictus buffed only for self-centered motives. I know the doctrine most of you trained towards that was supposed to be the EW meta killer.

Re: What we think of the Patch

Ictus has more neuting range than Seth and once stacking is fixed it's even better.

Go to test and try for yourself.
