Topic: Terrain Update distance
Running around on the PTS, i noticed how the map is updated with new Terrain data (plants, heightmap, effect layer, etc.)
It seems the map updates in chunks of 500x500 tiles(pixels) and those are updated in a "cross" pattern around your position every ~250m or so.
that works "acceptable" when your running exactly in the middle of grid, and either horizontal or vertical. But when you move diagonal, or something like north-north-west, then it can happen that the terrain is updated ~100m infront of you. Something that looks not nice when you have no fog, no obstacles and a viewing range of 3km +.
I am sure many of the old gamma player can tell you stories about vertical walls popping up right next to their robot and how strange that looks.
Request: can't you smooth that out a bit? (that would further improve autopilot too )
